Tank Control (Танк контороль)
Tank Control 01
Keep tanks in tight groups. Best way of doing this is by not moving large distances and using Alt + click on one of your tanks.
Tank Control 02
Do not click your opponent's tanks, let your tanks auto target. Only click tanks when you have 6 tanks or less or when your opponent has fodder.
Tank Control 03
Use fodder when you plan to attack or get attacked with 6+ tanks. Good fodder is dogs(move fast), conscripts(cheap), desolators(anti-fodder, tough & not squashable), GI's(anti-fodder & not bad firepower), miners(very tough & not squashable). Fodder
Tank Control 04
Take out wandering tanks & weak flanks.
Tank Control 05
When tanks are on higher ground, their range increases, use this to your advantage on maps with hills(cliffs even better). You do have to force attack fire on something, they wont shoot the increased distance automaticly.
Tank Control 06
Each time you give a new order to your tanks, they will rotate their turrets in the direction they are going to move so if this direction is not to your opponent's tank, it wastes time on rotating. Try to find a balance in giving to few/many orders.
Tank Control 07
Do not turn your back to your opponents tanks, your tanks will waste to much time on rotating their turrets each time the lock on t a new target.
Tank Control 08
Tank splitting is very effective on some maps. The idea behind splitting is to make 2 groups of tanks and each group attacks a location not to close to each other. For example: I move group1 to your miners and group2 to your mcv, now you have to make a costly decision to either save your miners or mcv. It is important that you avoid getting in a tank battle with just half of your tanks since you will most likely be outnumbered. So when he decided to save either his mcv/miner you move that group away.
Tank Control 09
Use the hotkey T alot to make sure you do not leave tanks at your base.
Tank Control 10
When you opponent moves in at your tanks, order your tanks to drive in a perpendicular angle to his (if ur tanks are south and his are north and he attacks, move your tanks to the east or west).
Tank Control 11
Move the tank you think the opponent has clicked backwards, this way the remaining tanks will get free shot on the opponent's tanks who all follow your fleeing tank.
Tank Control 12
Keep your damaged/promoted tanks in in the back because these units are of more use when they don't get hit. I assigned ~ to Health Navigation.
Tank Control 13
I neat little trick to have a stealthy split is to pressure him with all your tanks but avoid the tankfight. He'll have full focus on those tanks, dont use TT to call in more tanks that just came out of warfactory. When you have 3-5 tanks waiting outside your warfactory, move them round the edge of the map to his miners/mcv. This way you are almost guaranteed that he did not see your split. Splits from war factory are better then splitting up right in front of him.
Tank Control 14
Another neat trick for a split is when your split got spotted and he splits up too with the same amount, you bring more tanks to your split. If you're lucky he didn't see your split got bigger, then you can crush his split + maybe miners/mcv.
